Dental Implants
Tooth Replacement
Dr Amit Mistry offers a range of implant options as well as related services, across the northwest of England. As an exceptionally well-trained implant surgeon, Amit is pleased to undertake referrals for both routine and complexed cases. He also welcomes collaboration and is happy to work with other dental professionals who are trained to a high standard with dental implants to provide predictable, long term solutions for their patients.
Consultation and Treatment Planning
The first stage of the dental implant process involves a comprehensive mouth assessment, including X-rays and 3D imaging. You will receive a detailed treatment plan letter outlining exact costs and timeframes. A second consultation may occur, during which we take photographs and impressions of your teeth to meticulously plan the implant treatment, ensuring the highest level of precision and care.
Single Tooth Implant Placement
Dr Amit Mistry is pleased to take on any implant case, from the most basic to the most advanced. Simple implants are cases where there is sufficient bone volume and quality to retain the implant and only one or two implants are required. In these cases, implants offer a significant benefit to the patient over bridgework, which requires the grinding down of adjacent, otherwise healthy teeth, or removable partial dentures.
Replacing just a few teeth
If you have one or more missing teeth, opting for a single implant or an implant-supported bridge is an effective solution. This not only restores your smile but also helps preserve your remaining teeth and bone structure. A single implant mimics the look and function of a natural tooth, providing stability and enhancing your overall oral health and confidence.
ALL-ON-4
A complete solution to missing teeth. Ideal for patients with failing dentition who are otherwise facing wearing complete dentures, or who are unable to tolerate their dentures for any reason, including low self-confidence. Also called ‘teeth in a day’, this procedure involves placing four to six implants in each arch and then fitting a prototype bridge. The entire procedure is completed in one day.
Zygomatic Implants
Advanced dental implant treatment. Some full mouth implant patients are not suitable for regular dental implants, due to insufficient bone volume or quality to adequately retain the implants. In these cases, there are several options, including sinus lift and large bone block grafting, however a third option is to use zygomatic implants. Amit is one of a handful of surgeons in the country who is experienced enough to place zygomatic implants predictably
Sinus Lifts
Regenerative bone treatment. When planning implants for the back of the upper jaw, we sometimes find that the sinus has expanded and there is not enough bone available for implant placement. In these cases, we have the option to lift the sinus and rebuild the jawbone by filling the space created with bone
